It is one of the most famous sayings and also something that refer on many occasions to how many young ones have grown up and appreciated those small little things. Most parents have always been a big believer in seeing the little things and appreciating those small little things that may otherwise go unnoticed. A few years back turning 25 was somewhat in a difficult situation, to put it mildly. People were growing old faster and many people were not making as much money as they used to. With all these issues at home it is no wonder that there were a lot of worries when it came to the little things like your birthday and your special day.
However, things are different nowadays. Life is a lot easier today. With the whole world is becoming a smaller place thanks to technological advancements, we can now spend more time with our families and friends and even enjoy those simple things like a movie without worrying about the expenses. We can be more contented with what we get and appreciate the happiness that comes with it.
There is one thing that has always remained with me till now and that is that you can never find happiness in big things nor in small things. You might find big things impressive and wonderful to see, but they will never fill the void in your heart when all the love you have inside you is suddenly stolen by the world. Happiness comes from within. It is all inside yourself. If you think about it deeply enough, then happiness is all around us. What makes us happy varies from one person to another, but it is all the same.
To sum it up, its the little things that matter most. It s the excitement of getting married, the happiness of starting a new life, or the joy of having your old one back. So, if you are in search of happiness, then start searching inside yourself and fill the void with happiness. The truth is that we are all searching for it sores that will cure our emotional pain.
The most effective way to bring us more happiness is to bring us mindfulness. Practicing mindfulness is the easiest way to bring more happiness into our lives. Mindfulness is not just sitting in front of the television or meditating. Mindfulness is the ability to observe the present moment fully and to bring us into alignment with our true self - our spirit. Mindfulness allows us to focus on the positive emotions that come with being happy.
For instance, when we think of something positive that happens to us - like getting married - we feel good and happy and appreciate the event. But, if we do not appreciate the fact that we have a great thing happening to us - like getting married - then we might get caught up in focusing on the negative things about marriage. We could go on dwelling on the negative things, and not feel very positive about the event. A better thought process would be to acknowledge the good that has happened to us, and thank the person who brought us joy, or helped us to be happy. This brings us out from our day-to-day negative thinking and brings us into alignment with our true self, which is gratitude.
