Having lost much of their fortune, the couple sets out to look for a buyer, but come across a group of online antiquarians who are interested in selling the artifacts. The Dig team decides to purchase the artifacts from them instead. The only catch is that they must find a way to transport the heavy objects to their home. Once there, the team is faced with an array of obstacles including foxes, bears, and even poisonous mushrooms which all conspire to keep them from transporting the artifacts in a timely manner.

In order to overcome the obstacles in The Dig, the team must use various online tools and techniques. To start with, they must find a safe house in order to store the objects safely, and also to find a reliable carrier to transport them. They must also learn how to properly pack the objects if they become too heavy to move.
