A winter storm hits an isolated middle school in a small rural community on Christmas Eve and bringing together a ragtag group of teenagers. Soon, they find themselves entwined in one another's arms, and Christmas morning, nothing can ever be the same again. What was once just a simple family time is now transformed into a beautiful, loving, and heartfelt story of friendship and faithfulness. "Let It Snow" captures that same essence that I saw when I read it to my two daughters a few months ago.

I first became interested in this book because I have friends who are married and divorced, and as their children started school, one of them told me how much she enjoyed reading a "let it snow" book. I was intrigued by the idea of a book about snowfall and the way Christmas came to pass, but I was wary of the premise.

I mean, let's face it, snow doesn't make a lot of sense. There's no logical reason for it, right? No snow makes sense except for making the environment look better. It makes snowmen come to life, and snowflakes look beautiful. But the story itself is about something else. So, I was a little bit hesitant about giving "Let It Snow" a try. But then the author did an incredible job of capturing the spirit of the story.

In this story, we follow a pair of teenagers in the small town of Bethlehem, Minnesota, where they spend all of their Christmas time together. They spend it playing games, building snowmen, and hanging out with each other. The whole thing starts to change, though, after the teen sisters move away. The boys spend more time at home alone. They don't really talk to each other, so they start to feel like something is missing. Suddenly, they start missing each other, and they feel like they are missing something important when Christmas comes around.

What I loved about "Let It Snow" was the way in which the story is told from the perspective of the teens. My daughters are only 7 years old but already excited when they get to read this story, because they want to know what happens next. I'm sure that their daughters will grow up and be quite impressed with how the story unfolds before their eyes. as, well.

As your children grow up and become adults, you'll notice that you'll want to write more to capture their childhood memories and special moments, no matter what the age is. "Let It Snow" is an excellent addition to your library, for anyone who has children or wants to share their love of snow with a loved one.
