Xico's Path is an online role-playing video game that was released in October 2021 and is one of the more popular online RPG games. For those who have yet not heard of it, here's a quick overview of what Xico's Path has to offer. This review will cover some of the aspects of this popular game and offer my personal opinion on whether it's worth playing or not.
Like many other online RPG games, Xico's Path follows the concept of the leveling system where the player starts off with level 1 and as they progress through the game they gain levels. The player also begins to acquire skills as they do in many other games including Final Fantasy. As you advance through the game you'll find that you're not only fighting creatures but also some bosses which come equipped with special abilities. The storyline revolves around a small town called Altar which has been attacked by an unknown force.
This online game certainly presents a captivating storyline, though it is unfortunately lacking in the more exciting side quests that many other RPG games provide. For example, unlike most RPG games where you explore a large map looking for battle scenes, and going back to complete them, you only get to do this a couple of times in Xico's Path. You move from area to area, completing missions while going through the story line and experiencing some excitement, but it seems like there's only so much content a single game can give. Still, the adventure is great and worth playing more than once to see all of the areas and discover new things for yourself.
Another aspect of Xico's Path that makes it interesting is the game's seamless character creation system. Rather than being limited to a small selection of pre-made classes like in many other online RPG games, the player is free to create any class they like and play them throughout the game. This helps the player to feel a bit more involved, as they have more of an active role in the game's plot, rather than simply viewing events from a distance.
However, it can be quite hard to get through the story, especially if you start playing it after only a few hours of play. The game is filled with great visuals and audio effects, but it can also be a little dull and slow. This doesn't really affect the gameplay too much, but it can become irritating after a while. Still, overall this doesn't pose a huge problem, as there are enough positive factors to make the time fly by.
Overall Xico's Path feels like a really fun game to play. It's not really the best looking game on the internet or the most engaging narrative, but it has enough unique qualities to stand out. It offers a lot of replay value, plenty of PvE opportunities, and it's actually quite well designed. Despite some early complaints about its lack of options, this game provides enough intrigue to keep players hooked for quite a few hours. Xico's Path makes a great choice as an online PC game.
