So, you've finally seen The Vast of Night! You will not be disappointed by this movie. I tell you this to let you know that it is a movie for the young and the old. It is a fun movie and yet, at the same time, it has some very serious messages to be told.
It is interesting that there is a famous movie which has Gandhiji as its main character. You can tell because the movie is named after the renowned Indian leader and also because the actor playing him is famous. Now I would like to mention one more thing about The Vast of Night. The movie begins with the famous quote that Gandhiji said.
It is 'the truth and nothing but the truth' and this is something which you can read on the website. I have never thought that a movie would be able to say such a line and yet, I can tell you that it is true. In a movie, you do not have to do anything to get a message across. In other words, The Vast of Night has been able to get a message across.
This movie tells a message to everyone - It is good to be free and live freely. When Gandhiji was alive, India was ruled by a monarchy. During his time, there were many wars and many atrocities took place and thus, life was miserable. In the movie, we see the common man living in a similar fashion.
He lives under the dictatorship of the king and yet, he is able to be very happy in life. He is able to express himself and also be happy because people always look out for him. It is because of him that he has been able to survive. In The Vast of Night, we see that even people who were once enemies became friends.A lot of things can be learnt from this movie. The movie tells us that every human being should be free. Freedom is a right and anyone can be free if they wish to be. Even if one is not free, one can still enjoy life and he can still try to make others free.
Peace is another important part of life. To be free means to live without war or violence. In The Vast of Night, Gandhiji tells the people that they should get peace. He says that they should live peacefully and enjoy life.
We should have seen this movie at a younger age. It would have had a huge impact on us as a people.
