A classic. The way one thinks about the picture book the better. If I ask you if you read The Picture Book, you would instantly reply yes, but without much more than that. Some love the books, others don't, but I'm here to tell you, you should.
Before my internet, I didn't think I would ever look at it or even remember what it was. I'm sure there are thousands of readers of books and hundreds of thousands of movie lovers. But the Photograph is a film that changed all of that.
It wasn't just that it's one of the greatest movies ever made, but the emotion and message behind it has never been tried before. The story is very simple but complex at the same time.
When the series of pictures are taken by a nine-year-old girl named Ingrid Bergman, a scientific expert named Horace Wickham, his assistant, and a group of people, namely the Bert and Ernie. The group consists of a psychologist, an evolutionary biologist, a horticulturist, a wine maker, a university professor, a jurist, a zoologist, a psychiatrist, a scout leader, and a bug hunter. They become entwined in the group and each brings something special to the table. The winner is the human race, who must survive in a future ravaged by a virus.
While watching the film, it is clear that those in the group aren't the photo connoisseur's cup of tea. They're not the type of people who would enjoy searching out individual photos and learning how they were taken. It takes two minds, two hearts, and a deep understanding of humanity for the Group to work as one; even when the leader, Wickham, is quickly caught in the middle of a dispute over who will shoot a small animal.
The photograph is a highly respected art form today. On our planet, it has become rare to see a still image with a clear subject. A picture like this only happens in the movies, but not on screen. It can take time to learn how to take the photograph, but then again, you have to know that it's not going to end up being one of those true masterpieces.
If you're looking for that one shot that shows something like a bird's eye view, then you're really not going to find it here. The Art of The Photograph is about humanity at its best, where everyone can have fun and still survive.
Watch The Picture Book and tell the world what the Movie was all about. You'll have people all around the world telling you that this is one of the best movies ever made. Plus, you're going to be able to put all of your favorite quotes and movie titles into context.
