"The Babysitter: Killer Queen" is a quick-paced action-packed film that focuses on the trials and tribulations of three children who are caught in the middle of a conspiracy. With a story that's just a touch different from that of other movies about babysitters, "The Babysitter: Killer Queen" still manages to keep the interest of the audience as the story unfolds.
After a seemingly innocent babysitting gig goes bad, Bee (Jessica Alba) is forced to hire a new babysitter, The Killer Queen (Zoey Deutch). Two weeks later, though, her babysitter's daughter Bee (Lori Singer) has suddenly returned from college and is out to take revenge for being falsely accused of rape. Now the Babysitter must outsmart the evil forces of evil once again when old friends unexpectedly come back into play.
While some of the acting throughout "The Babysitter: Killer Queen" was good, it felt like some scenes were simply cut out in order to save space. But overall, the movie looked and sounded great thanks in large part to the fast-paced action sequences, which kept the audience interested in what the characters were doing and the larger plot line that's unraveling.
The Babysitter: Killer Queen was directed by Marc Graswold, and stars Jessica Alba, Lisa Marie Presley, and Lauren Holly. However, it should be noted that this film contains strong language. So be prepared for some adult content. If you're expecting a good babysitting movie, "The Babysitter: Killer Queen" may not be what you're expecting.
Overall, "The Babysitter: Killer Queen" wasn't a bad babysitting movie at all. I have a few qualms about the way the storyline is handled, but otherwise I can see why it's been turned into a movie. The premise of the plot is rather simple, and it works very well to provide a fun adventure story filled with laughs and thrills. And as the villain is an extremely simple character, the movie is more than capable of running through its main character without losing any of its flow.
Overall, "The Babysitter: Killer Queen" is definitely worth your time if you're looking for a quick and entertaining babysitting movie. with a different twist on the traditional babysitting tale. It's definitely a fun flick to check out, especially if you enjoyed "Titanic."
