The Target Number One has long been a favorite word for the animated series of Dexter. And so I thought I would consider what I think is the best scene from each series of Dexter. Since I haven't watched all the series, you could add more, but that might make them less enjoyable.
The Diner Scene - This scene is used almost the entire series. It is the first thing we see Dexter do when he arrives at the beginning of the episode. He breaks into a diner and finds the owner tied to a chair. He kills the man and has a gun put to his head. In this scene we see Dexter at his best, his focus on the task at hand and the quiet intensity of the moment as the man's head drops back.
The "I'm not an Atheist" Scene - Like all of the movies in the series, this is all about ethics and questions of right and wrong. In this scene he gives a speech to the people in the crowd about how he doesn't want them to shoot and kill the church lady in the airport. He tells them they should be okay because he is an Atheist. As we all know, he sets her free from the church.
The Christians Kill - This is the most controversial scene in the series. In this scene the church lady is shown being attacked by a group of Christians. The church leader tries to defend her, but is killed before he can do so.
The Serial Killer Scene - Here we see him shoot a couple of women and tell them they are too ugly to get in. Dexter pleads with them to come on board, but he has them tied up to a bed until he lets them come on board.
The Serial Killer Scene - Here he meets the serial killer who shows him a short film of his past. In this scene he gives his motive for killing them. He thinks they have done nothing to deserve their fate. After he finishes talking with the serial killer, he begins to lead them down to the car.
The Sera Scene - This is when Dexter holds the serial killer for the first time. This is where they begin to go through their history together and in which they learn he is a serial killer. As he slits the woman's throat he is captured and brought to jail.
I would like to add one other scene in this series of Dexter, and that is when the serial killer explains to him that he has a life insurance policy in which he will receive a payment for each person he kills. But his plan is to kill as many people as possible before he gets caught and loses his policy.
