Author Anne Rice is known for writing the Spenser books in the Buffy the Vampire Slayer series. She created the series, wrote several of the books and got an executive producer credit on the first one. She's also the author of the White, Middleman and Dark Twilight books. She's also got a TV show on the Sci Fi Channel.
Before these books were published, the first three were written by Anne Rice's mother while she was alive. She kept them all secret so that her daughter could continue her studies after her mother died. She did this to protect her daughter from having the scandal of being discovered as a writer when she was already working with the government.
The internet was only just starting to grow and the blogosphere wasn't yet in existence when Anne's father started her first online eBook business. The idea for writing the novel was started during Anne's graduate thesis.
It took her a long time to finish her novel, due to the complexities of the world, but she did finish it. Since then she's continued to write novels for many different series of others.
She has a wonderful set of characters in the novels, but they're never just mentioned once or twice in the books. Each one needs to be told in her own words.
When you see the movies, you'll notice that the writer used the Harry Potter books as a template and expanded on it, creating a great movie. From there, other books and movies were adapted from the theme.
Screenplays are similar to the novels, too. The writer takes an idea and makes a film out of it. Screenplays come in many different formats and most of them are self-published and can be downloaded for free.
With an online book, you get more power to decide what happens in the story. The actual novel doesn't have to be finished reading it. It's a good way to pick up a book and read through it a few times to make sure it flows.
