The New Order is a film directed by Steve McQueen and starring Marlon Brando. It was released in theaters in April of 1967. This movie is quite different from the other movies that were made at the time. It is set during World War II and deals with the agents of The Resistance, which are a group of British people who were forced to build a secret resistance network. They were told that if they were killed or taken prisoner, the resistance would fail.
A group of these agents were secretly put on board a transport ship that was traveling to the beaches of Normandy. The Resistance members planned to sneak aboard and they successfully did. Once there, they set up a stronghold and waited for the planes to bomb them. When the planes came, they surprised the German soldiers. Brando's character, George Custer was the first one to shoot down an enemy plane. After this he and his team continued to shoot at the planes throughout the night.
Brando's character is a veteran who was badly burned in World War I. He was captured and held prisoner for several years. Brando's character was part of the group that saved him and took him to France where he lived until the war was over. He later went back to the United States and joined the Army Air Corp. After that he went on to serve in the Pacific and later in the Middle East. Eventually, he retired to California.
Brando's character goes back to England and helps another Resistance member called John Campbell saves the concentration camp of Haddam Neck. He also saves the British princess, cheeky named Rose, and her baby. The two come to be acquainted and become good friends. Throughout the movie, they learn about each other and eventually fall in love.
The movie has some excellent acting and a number of other memorable scenes. When Brando's character and Rose are fighting, he does a great job of showing how he wants to be respected as an actor and how he will go to great lengths to protect the values that he believes in. He plays a rough and ready character, but he is very human. The movie ends with a romance between the two characters that is romantic in a modern sense.
Overall, New Order is an enjoyable movie. It has some entertaining moments and is a beautiful story about how the forces of good and evil co-exist in our world. The only real complaint that I have is that the ending was predictable. Other than that, this is a definite must-see movie...
