Dad Wanted is a hilarious Mexican drama that would probably say "don't hold your breath"well, if it wasn't for you, I'd just die trying", but instead it is more than just a challenge; it is about a woman without a father and a man with no daughter, and hopefully you will be entertained by this film's equivalent of a three-piece jigsaw puzzle because, hey, nothing beats a fun time. The movie is directed by Lucrecia Martel, whose last movie was also directed by Paco Plaza, called Sombra. The story of Dad Wanted follows the story of Maria de Alvarado (Gael García Bernal) who is an orphaned Mexican woman who happens to have a beautiful, outgoing brother who is in a rock band named El Duderino. Maria goes to live in Mexico City with her husband, Juan (Diego Luna), but she has to leave her son, Francisco, with a neighbor, Estefan (Martel). After a short time, Maria discovers that Francisco has a girlfriend, Carolina, whom she gets along with. She also discovers that Estefan was once in the band called The Scorpions, a band that was once led by Jose Cuervo.
