Cut Throat City has been confirmed to be one of the most anticipated upcoming movies in 2020, a sequel to the popular 2020 film of the same title. Directed by RZA, the film stars Shameik Moore, Demetrius Shipp, Kat Graham, Terrance Howard, T.I. and other prominent members of the Wu-Tang Clan.
The movie centers on three rival gangs in the late 80s, when two groups, the Ragin' Cajuns and the Bloods, try to take over New York. The main storyline involves how the gangs are fighting for control of a local bar and how they end up getting the upper hand. With the help of a young woman named Wu-Tang Clan, the gang tries to take back their turf, but they run into a tough challenge in the form of a former gang member named Ice Cube.
Brian Joseph is writing the screenplay. He is also attached to direct and produce the movie, which is currently in pre-production in New York City. His credits include the award-winning Straight Outta Compton. Joseph will also serve as executive producer of the movie, along with his brother and business partner, Justin.
The movie has already received its start as well, as it was released onto the VOD market on November 7th, with the full premiere planned for the following week. The DVD is scheduled to hit stores around the United States on February 7th, and it will feature a prologue, an extended version of the film's first five minutes and several deleted scenes. Some of the key characters from the original movie return, such as Scarface, who are now a bounty hunter, and Cube, who is now trying to clear his name from the death of a fellow gang member. This time around, they have to track down Wu-Tang Clan member ODB, whom they believe is the primary target of the group's rivalries. The movie's plot also involves an underground battle between the two gangs as they attempt to control the bar where Cube works.
The series stars Ice Cube, who plays the role of Scarface; Cube's son, Jada Pinkett, plays ODB; Kat Graham as ODB's wife; and Terrence Howard plays ODB's best friend. Other important members of the crew also appear, including the members of the Wu-Tang Clan, including U-God and Raekwon.
Although the plot and setting of Cut Throat City are similar to the original film, the differences are numerous, which means that even fans of the original won't be bored. The cast and crew behind the film include notable writers, directors and producers, so you won't find any cliche elements here.
If you're looking for a great movie, but one that doesn't have any overt plot twists or shocking turns, this is the perfect choice for you. The only thing you need to know is that the film is set in a bar and offers a lot of action and drama, so if you like that sort of thing, you should be fine. Just remember to expect some good old-fashioned violence.
