Combat Wombat (formerly known as @NoiceboneLive) is an You Tube video game enthusiast from the United States. He has more than 1.2m subscribers and almost 50 million views. His main vlog channel, which can be found on You Tube, is called 'combat wombat'. In this vlog he discusses the game in great detail, gives tips and strategies as well as acting as his own fighter in some of the videos posted.
The first vid posted was entitled 'Old School', it featured an old-school bully who Punished his pupils for their mistakes on a daily basis. The bully taunted them with sadistic speech like "You're going to learn today, you're going to learn how to die today" as he punished them in his little wooden hand drill. The second is 'combatants' shows the characters as they fight off monsters in the movie.
The movie itself is based on the arcade game of the same name. In the game the player controls one or more characters to win the game and proceed to a specific stage by beating all the evil creatures. It is interesting to note that there is no single parenthesis in the fighting phrases as the children aged in the movie are depicted as looking very frightened (possibly because of the coarse language used). Some of the fighting phrases are very disturbing for the viewer. One of the bad guys says, "There's just no place for weak, sorry creatures in this world." This foul mouthpiece is followed by a loud, foul-sounding laughter as he threatens the children not to speak or laugh when in his presence.
I have always felt that Combat Wombat promotes the notion of "tartarianism". In this case, an old, wise wombat tries to get rid of young fighters who wish to take part in the battle by having them attack each other with their teeth. It is interesting to note that the term for barbarianism is derived from "tartar", a medieval Latin word which means "of the sword". Another interesting thing to note is that young children tend to mimic their parents when they are angry, therefore encouraging violence towards humans and other living things.
The movie is definitely worth watching, even if you don't like action movies. It has a lot of excellent character development, and there are many good songs performed by the band. Overall, it's a definite must-see movie for everyone, especially those fans of the Marvel comic books. It opens and closes with a great score performed by Tim Burton and John Carpenter. It doesn't disappoint at all, and I recommend it to anyone looking for an up-and-coming action/horror film that's just as entertaining and thought-provoking as combat wombat.
Just try not to make the same mistake as I did and skip Combat Wombat by the Australian hops singer Shamir. His new album is far better, and it's worth checking out. If you've been enjoying the trailers for the movie, then the rest should be easy. I am positive that it will be a hit, and it will be good for them to promote their new album! It's a shame to see good things being wasted on mediocre films, but if anyone wants to watch it in Australia, I'm sure they'll find it online.
