If you are over 30 years old, we bet you remember the peculiar Addams Family, which won victories over the two films directed live by Barry Sonnenfeld, The Addams Family and The Addams Family 2, which features Anjelica Huston audiences as Morticia, Raúl Julia as Gómez, Christopher Lloyd as Fester and the unforgettable Christina Ricci as Wednesday. MGM presented the trailer for the new animated version of the classic The Addams Family. The animation takes us back to the original art style of Charles Addams and presents us with our favorite, unusual family again.
The Addams Family has left a deep mark on pop culture and is largely due to the television program The Addams Family, which was released in 1964. It's been decades since the last time we saw the members of this house invade our screens and make us laugh at the ridiculous lifestyle they follow and consider normal, but for us feels rather ironic. Still, The Addams Family seems to not want to stay out of the wave of modernization that has touched diverse film franchises to adapt them to the contemporary public, and it's interesting to see the family adapted to an animation for the first time, whether it's a successful attempt or not, well, that's yet to be determined.
The story of the film follows the Addams, who have to deal with a showy host of a reality TV while preparing the house to receive the whole family for a celebration in the best Addams style.
The film's directors are Conrad Vernon and Greg Tiernan. They direct the script of Matt Lieberman, based on the comic strip of the aforementioned Charles Addams.
The cast includes famous stars such as Oscar Isaac as Gomez Addams, along with the incredible Charlize Theron as Morticia Addams; Chloë Grace Moretz as Wednesday Addams; Finn Wolfhard as Pugsley Addams; Nick Kroll as Uncle Lucas; Bette Midler as Grandmama; Elsie Fisher as Margaux and Allison Janney as the family's nemesis, Margaux Needler.
The film is produced by Vernon with Gail Berman, through his The Jackal Group, and Alex Schwartz. Andrew Mittman, Kevin Miserocchi and Joe Earley are the executive producers. Tabitha Shick, executive director of MGM, Worldwide Motion Pictures oversees the project for the study. CGI animation and special effects are connected to Cabo in Vancouver, at Cinesite Studios, one of the most respected companies in independent digital entertainment.
The family is made up of Morticia, a devoted mother, and wife, with a devilish side and who is the glue that unites her family. Gomez, romantic, sinister and passionate, is madly in love with his wife and is enthusiastic about any plan that is cooked in his family. Merlina is a bright and sinister teenager with long braids and incomparable wit. Pericles is a ten-year threat with too much energy and he loves getting into all the problems they can. Uncle Fester is cheerful, of goodwill and likes to create chaos in every imaginable way. The grandmother loves her grandchildren and enjoys cooking cookies shaped like bats and skulls. Margaux Needler, the queen of the realities of the makeover, is obsessed with the desire to achieve absolute suburban perfection in pastel tones.
