The first person series Logan is based on the story of former CIA agent turned mercenary, retired private eye and ex-special forces operative Logan. As a result of his experiences in World War II, Logan was forced to retire from the CIA. This left him without a family or any support system. Despite his dissatisfaction with life, Logan decided to take it easy and live a quiet life until he met an attractive teenage girl named Jenny.
As the story progresses, Logan encounters a mysterious guy named Jenny. He begins to worry about Jenny as she seems to know everything that goes on around him. The two begin their relationship as friends but soon develop feelings for each other.
The story takes place in Chicago. The city is described as a futuristic city and is portrayed as futuristic in a very unique way. The visual effects used are quite impressive. Every building is technologically advanced with no evidence of any past cities or civilization. The city itself is organized in an efficient manner and has a strong sense of community.
The characters of the story are amazing. From Jack, Logan's friend who initially dates him, to his assistant (or possibly his lover), Jenny. They have a very well defined and layered personality that makes them believable and likeable.
It seems to me that many A-list actors would be hard pressed to fit into this type of role but with an amazing cast and crew, this was actually the case. The direction and script were superb and made for an amazing watch.
The Movie was incredibly long running. At times it felt that the entire movie was in one scene and there was never any time to catch up on anything else. Although I wasn't in a rush to finish the movie, I enjoyed the many twists and turns that were thrown at me throughout the movie.
The only bad thing about the movie was that it was repetitive. If you have seen any of the X-Men movies you will feel right at home in this movie. The last three films of the X-Men series all started off with similar themes and the last few actually diverged from the original storyline that is set up in the beginning of the series.
For those of you who can't make it to the theater I highly recommend watching the movie online. It doesn't matter whether you are on your PC or on your cell phone; the movie is there for you.
