Geostorm is an upcoming live action film produced by Anonymous Content and directed by Adam Wingard. The film will be directed by veteran Ang Lee, who is best known for casting his films in 3D.
The story will follow a group of pilots, called the D-Squad, as they are out in the field as they try to avoid terrorist attacks. The pilot of the plane that crashes into the ocean is one of the pilots, Tom Cruise. As he struggles to get the plane back into the air after being unable to stop it from crashing, he also has to deal with a woman he just met and some new enemies he has in the military.
The movie is based on the first book written by Andy Weir, who wrote the book after a close friend was killed during the Haiti earthquake. As he returned to his home country, he wrote the book that took him to a special island that his friend called home where no one can get killed by a storm as it approaches.
The movie, however, was not written or made as a direct adaptation of the book. With the new live action film that is planned to be released next year, it is being used as a basis for the film.
There are many similarities between the Geostorm and American Airline books. Both books are about an extremely fast storm that has never been seen before and several situations have to be adapted to make them work for the story.
While AIC's book is not yet written, it will be adapted by the writer and producer of the series, Brian Grazer and Hutch Parker. The two have previously worked together on films such as Independence Day: Resurgence, TV series Once Upon a Time and many more.
While there is no official word as to when the movie will be released, many online communities are already discussing and speculating on its release date. It is widely expected that Geostorm will be released sometime in 2020, although it may be delayed if the movie does not perform well in theaters.
In addition to this, another movie is planned to be released in 2020 that will feature a movie adaptation of the Serie. With the success of Geostorm and its movie, there is a high possibility that the series will continue as long as the author and producers are interested in it.
